ABOUT ME

I am a Registered Art Therapist and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. After graduating from Adler University with a Masters in Counseling in Art Therapy, I developed and implemented the first art therapy program at Cove School, a Chicago therapeutic day school for students with learning disabilities. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings including
hospitals, senior living facilities, therapeutic day schools, public schools, and intensive outpatient programs. My passion for using art and the creative process to connect has contributed to my involvement over the years in many art collaborations and installations for
community and not for profit groups. I have experience leading child and adolescent groups, adult groups, parent workshops, staff trainings, wellness and creative expression workshops, and support groups. Currently, I lead art therapy groups for adults and adolescents through
NorthShore University Health Systems, lead groups for senior living facilities, facilitate creative workshops for cancer support groups ,see individual clients and host workshops virtually and in person at my office in Winnetka.

I follow a collaborative, person-centered approach in my practice. Through the therapeutic process, strengths and skill sets are clarified and built upon to support wellness and optimal functioning. While I often utilize art processes with my approach, I structure sessions to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. I offer traditional talk therapy for those that benefit from that approach for wellness goals. My work is informed by evidence-based cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. I also integrate polyvagal theory, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and calming strategies into my practice.

I provide art therapy and counseling specializing in anxiety, depression, coping skills, sensory processing issues, disabilities, ADHD, life transitions and stressors, support for cancer survivors and those in treatment, expressive art experiences and collaborations.

I welcome the opportunity to meet and discuss concerns or inquiries and determine if I am a good fit for your current needs. Please contact me to schedule an appointment.
